In one way or another, I have been creating content online for over a decade – I mean, at least in the form you know it now. My online sharing actually goes back way further than that, to around 2001 when I was just 11 years old. I’d sit for hours writing short stories to share on a website called Elfwood, which doesn’t even exist anymore (fun fact – I actually met one of my Elfwood friends in person last year whilst Tiz and I were in California on our honeymoon, it was awesome!). I’ve grown up on the internet, and a lot has changed since I was that 18 year old girl posting YouTube videos from her childhood bedroom. I think it’s time we got to re-know each other!

Over on my Instagram page, I asked you guys to send me some of your questions, as I figured that would be the most fun way to do this. I could sit here and tell you random facts about me – like how my Game of Thrones obsession has taken up half my brain space every day since 2012, or that I’m only 5ft 3 and just wear platforms all the time – but I wanted to make this post very much about what you want to know! Let’s dig in…

“What Are Your Near Future Plans?/What’s Your Biggest Goal” – from @schaefi_/@heylittledolly on Instagram
I love this question. I’ve always been pretty goal-orientated, and like to think both short term and long term. My long term plans are the same as they’ve been for, well, ever – to grow my presenting and acting careers. This year already, I’ve done two short films and have a couple more auditions in the pipeline, so in a way my near future plans hopefully relate to my long term goals! Outside of work, I’m looking to plan some exciting trips and spend as much time as humanly possible with as many dogs as possible, haha! And continue to bake, and get way better at it (I recently perfected my vegan buttercream and was so happy!) In terms of biggest goal overall? To be happy and fulfilled in everything I do. Not too much to ask, right?!
“Do You Plan On Having Children Any Time Soon?” – from @elena_bakratsa on Instagram
Having kids isn’t a priority for us right now. I love being the ‘fun auntie’ and think I’m really good at it – I’m a big kid myself to be honest – but I’m not necessarily a super maternal person. The honest answer to this question, and anything else about us having children, is “I don’t know”. It’s definitely something I’m asked a lot more now that I’m married, but I haven’t given it too much thought!
“Do You Think You Have Changed? What Do You Feel About This?” – from @xriska_ on Instagram
In some ways I have changed a lot over the years, and in others I’m exactly the same. The perfect example is probably in my appearance – my hair is pretty much the same as always, but I’ve switched up my clothing style a bit lately (I wrote more about this topic in this blog post). Personality-wise, I think I have the same sense of humour as I’ve always had, and I think I’m still the same enthusiastic and optimistic person, but there are things about me that are different. I’m more willing to admit to being wrong these days, and I also over-think things more than I used to, which has led to some pretty intense anxiety issues for me. However, I’ve always been self-aware and I recognise these things in myself easily, which I’m grateful for as I can work on them. I think a little change is always a good thing, whilst still staying true to yourself.
“What Do You Think Of Avril Lavigne’s New Album?” – from @complicatedending, @sara_esfandyari @swiftymichelle on Instagram
I LOVE IT! It took me a couple of listens through to get to grips with the changes in Avril’s sound but the more I listen to every song the more obsessed I become. I currently have ‘I Fell In Love With The Devil’ on repeat, there’s something so epic about it, I can’t explain! Other current favourites include Tell Me It’s Over, Souvenir, Birdie and It Was In Me. But honestly, I pretty much love every single track. It’s taken me a little longer to get on board with Dumb Blonde, but no matter how much my brain protested it’s completely stuck in my head so I guess I’m a fan of it now! In fact, I found myself singing the lyrics out loud this morning without even realising – it definitely grows on you.
“Do You Plan On Making Any YouTube Videos Soon?” – from @elena_bakratsa on Instagram
I’m not going to lie, YouTube is a very odd place for me at the moment. I feel like it’s all changed so much, and creators struggle to get their content seen. It’s not that I want a million views on every video, but when my subscribers are messaging me saying they don’t get my videos in their subscription feed anymore, I do wonder what the point of it all is. I’ve always said that I make my videos for you guys, and if they don’t get delivered to you it’s so disheartening. The honest answer to this question is that I don’t really know what’s happening YouTube-wise at the moment, but I would love to get back to the point where I’m creating regular videos. Let’s see what happens with the platform generally!
If you have any other questions you’d like me to answer, just leave them below! Thanks so much to everyone who asked me questions on Instagram, including those hilarious in-joke ones that I didn’t include here – you know who you are, haha! Also a massive thank you to my creative partner-in-crime Luke for these awesome photos 🙂 They were all taken around the Northern Quarter in Manchester, for anyone who’s wondering!
