I decided to be super efficient and combine two Spring/Summer 2018 trends in this post – polka dots and animal print! Both are absolutely E V E R Y W H E R E right now, and when I stumbled across this Topshop Animal Print Shirt I knew it was going right in my shopping basket. If you love it, be snappy – it’s selling out fast on their website!
Polka dots and animal prints have been two of my favourites for, well, ever. As a former punk kid I was obsessed with leopard and zebra prints, usually in shades of purple, red and pink, and polka dots are totally classic. I’m loving the huge spot prints that are around at the moment too, and know I’ll be picking up some fabulous pieces for my summer wardrobe.
In typical Chyaz fashion I paired this super spotty shirt with my Topshop Leigh Jeans in black (of course) and a pair of New Look Boots I’ve worn almost every day for the past three months (the ones linked are similar, and in the sale!). I am a massive fan of the Topshop Leigh style – they’re not too high or low rise, which is so rare to find. What’s wrong with liking your jeans to be in somewhere in the middle, hey?! I fear my poor boots are getting a bit worn out already, mostly due to the ridiculous Manchester weather ruining shoes quicker than you can say “don’t forget your brolly, our kid”…
I absolutely adore Topshop’s offerings this season, though my bank balance isn’t such a fan. I honestly feel like I could buy everything in there; the prints, cuts and materials are totally on point. The silky feel of this shirt is the perfect example, and I love that it’s not too long either – the perfect length to tuck comfortably into your jeans.
A big thank you to my dad for snapping these photos in the Northern Quarter. We found a cute little spot that I haven’t seen on Instagram before, which is becoming rare around my neck of the woods! Which Spring/Summer 2018 trends are you obsessing over? Let me know which you prefer – polka dots or animal prints – if you can choose, that is!
