Have you ever spotted a product and wanted to shout, “why has this not been in my life until now?!”. I’m not talking about finding a new shade of blush or lipstick, but something totally ingenious and a potential game-changer. That’s now I felt today when I picked up the Barry M Nail Paint Corrector Pen! I am notoriously terrible at doing my nails; there are always smudges and dodgy edges, but that could soon be a thing of the past…
The pen was £4.99, which didn’t seem much to pay for vastly improved manicures. When you consider how my nail polishes I own (um, a lot) it seems silly that I’d pass up an opportunity to help me really make the most of those products. I don’t know why I can’t quite ever get my nails right – perhaps because my brain is always thinking of the next thing I have to do and not focussing on something that seems quite trivial, i.e. painting my nails. The result is usually a huge mess.
The pen also comes with two replacement nibs, which is a brilliant idea. It’s melon-scented, which was a nice change from the headache-inducing smell of nail polish remover, and I was super impressed with the clever shape and design of the tip – it’s all curved and fancy, meaning it can really reach the places you’d want to tidy up your nails. I found it was most helpful under the end of the nail, round the sides and near to the cuticles.
I painted my nails with this gorgeous Barry M Teal Nail Paint, and tidied them up with the pen between coats. I also sprayed them with my ‘quick dry’ spritz afterwards, which is why my fingers look a bit shiny!
Considering how much of a total state my nails usually look after painting them, I was so happy with the outcome. I really think this little gem is going to change the way I do my nails, and might even encourage me to use some of the bolder shades in my collection – I always think it’s real pain trying to touch up stronger colours, but that’s not something I need to worry about anymore!
What do you think of this clever little beauty accessory?
