You might just have noticed my complete and utter obsession with nail polish lately (it’s getting out of control!). My latest purchase from OPI is the Touring America Minis Collection, featuring tiny little versions of four colours from the collection: My Address is “Hollywood”, French Quarter For Your Thoughts, A-taupe The Space Needle and Honk If You Love OPI.
I’m going to talk through each one in turn, to give you a full review! Just before we start, I got this set from BeautyBay.com – it retails for £12.75 on the site.
My Address is “Hollywood”
I was quite surprised at how opaque this shade was – with it being such a light pink, I was worried that it would be a little patchy. I don’t own a pink like this, and wondered if I would like it when compared to my usual fuchsia. I ended up loving it!
Something I love consistently with OPI polishes is that they dry very quickly. The size of the tiny brush was perfect for getting into the more fiddly parts of your nails – I really loved this shade.
French Quarter For Your Thoughts
This was the first polish I tried from the collection and I was instantly impressed. I never thought that grey nail polish would be my thing, but I really loved how it looked. Again, two coats worked perfectly and each dried so quickly.
I would typically wear this with a dark, slightly grungy outfit as a change from the typical black. I love that the finish is still a little glossy rather than more matte – gorgeous!
A-taupe The Space Needle
Taupe is probably my least favourite colour in the world, so I was taking a bit of a gamble by buying this polish. There’s half of me that quite likes this shade on my nails but the other side can’t forget that I’ve disliked taupe for so long.
It applied wonderfully, as did all of the shades, but it’s probably not one I will wear. It’s nice to have it in my collection in case I change my mind though! And, living with 5 other girls, I’m sure it will get used at some point!
Honk If You Love OPI
This was the shade I was most excited about when I ordered the collection – it’s absolutely perfect for autumn and is such a gorgeous, rich colour. The only downside is that two coats doesn’t really cut it – as you can see, it looks a bit patchy. Next time I will definitely try a third coat.
All in all, I’m really glad I bought the set – it means that I’ve been able to try out four shades for almost the price of one full sized bottle. I have such a growing collection that it will probably take me ages to finish even a small bottle, which works well.
