I was looking through my gorgeous pink make up case hunting for a product to review for you, when I stumbled across the 17 Falsifeye Gel Eyeliner. To my horror, I realised that not only had I failed to review it, but I hadn’t even tried it yet! After giving myself a slap on the wrist for being such a failure, I set about testing it out.
I was slightly confused at first, because the packaging states that the gel eyeliner pot comes with a brush. When I opened it up, I was delighted to find the cutest little brush in the world!
Although I loved the cuteness of the brush, I was wondering how practical it was going to be, and if it would do the job at all. I dipped into the pot and was surprised by two things; the creaminess of the gel (especially compared to my usual Maybelline one) and the softness of the brush.
I swept the gel across my eye, and this is how it looked after one coat:
As you can see it all looks a bit patchy – saying that though, the application was absolutely amazing. It was smooth and precise; the little brush exceeded all expectations and actually works really well. I decided to add a second coat to see if that would improve the finish.
Much better! Two coats are the key when it comes to this eyeliner. I am thoroughly impressed with it and, to be perfectly honest, I much prefer it to the Maybelline one I have been using. It’s just so much easier to use, and the formulation is fantastic.
I believe that this came free with the 17 Falsifeye Mascara (as sent to me by the lovely Holly Arabella!) which is an amazing deal. I really wish it was available to buy on its own – perhaps it will be in the future!
Thumbs up all round!
