Avril Lavigne Wish You Were Here Official Video Make Up Tutorial

As many of you will know, I’m a huge Avril Lavigne fan, and when I hear of a new video from the lovely lady I can’t resist re-creating her look from it! In her brand new video for Wish You Were Here, Avril goes for a raw, emotional and stripped down video – which involves her looking blooming gorgeous and having a little cry (aww!).

As soon as I saw the music video this morning, I couldn’t resist having a go at the look myself. Here is my video tutorial:

It’s a classic Avril Lavigne make up look with a couple of twists, like heavier eyeliner on the outer corners of the eye and some cute false lashes. I also took a few photos once I’d completed the look, so check them out!

I actually nearly started crying watching her cry in the video. I think that song is about Deryck Whibley in a way. From the lines “I remember all those crazy things you said, you left them runnin’ through my head.” “And the truth is that I really miss… All those crazy things we did.” – notice the past tense. It’s as if she’s looking back on their time together.

I was heartbroken when they split. Amazing video though.

Sorry for my extensive analogy of the song. I read really deeply into her lyrics and like to pick each song apart and guess what, or who, it’s about 😛
