I’ve seen Prestige Cosmetics stands in various drugstores but, for some reason, I hadn’t decided to try their products. All that changed when the lovely Caroline Frazer kindly gave me two of their products, including the Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner in Deepest Black. You’ll have to wait until later this week to see what the other was!
I feel that I’ve tried a million black eyeliners in my time, so they have to have a special ‘something’ to really stand out to me. This eyeliner promises ‘Long Lasting Intense Colour’ – something which is vital for me when it comes to black eyeliner.
Before trying the actual product itself, I was already impressed with the packaging – instead of the usual, slightly tacky-looking glossy pencil, the outer coating is smooth, matte and gorgeous to touch. Considering the eyeliner retails for between £7-8, this gives a good indication of quality and value for money. But does the product itself live up to this expectation?
Quite frankly…yes! It certainly delivers on its claim to be intense – the colour is blacker than black, and looks bold on both the waterlines and the eyelid. The formulation is quite creamy and smooth, and I was worried that it would slip off the waterlines quite easily. After a few hours, the product had shifted slightly towards the inner corners of my eyes but there were no major problems to report. Because the pigmentation of the pencil was so bold to start with, it still looked great hours later.
Prestige Cosmetics are available in some Boots stores and online – simply search on Google for stockists in your country or area.
