I’ve been looking for a reasonably priced bronzing powder for contouring for a few weeks – I very rarely use products like these due to the fact that I don’t wear foundation/blusher etc on a regular basis. So many bronzers are shimmery and sparkly, which can be gorgeous for adding a sun kissed glow but not good for contouring.
When I was at the Manchester Blogger Meet Up, Lily from BeautysBadHabit and I had one last cosmetics shopping session in Superdrug at the train station before going our separate ways. I spotted the 2true All Over Natural Bronzing Powder in Shade 1 – and, as it was only £1.99, I couldn’t resist buying it!
I loved that the pan was so large, and 13g of product for just £1.99 is an amazing deal. With products of such good value, there is always the underlying question of quality – can something so cheap be any good?
The colour payoff is very good – the texture of the powder is slightly chalky, but is also very easily blended, which is ultimately of importance. Once you get past the chalky element of the powder, there is almost a creamy texture lurking beneath, which makes the application of the product smooth. I tried it out on my sister, who also has quite dry skin, and it looked beautiful.
The top swatch shows the unblended product, literally just swiped onto my hand. Underneath, I blended the bronzing powder out – although the photo doesn’t show a massive difference, the product blended excellently, which makes for a very versatile bronzer.
I’ve had a lucky run of ‘value and quality’ products lately, and this is the latest one in the line. I thoroughly recommend it!
