With all of this beautiful weather we’ve been having (hope I haven’t just jinxed it…) I’ve been thinking more and more about my summer wardrobe and accessories. Who doesn’t love to shake things up as the seasons change, hey? Today I want to share with you some of my ultimate favourite jewellery pieces from the legendary Thomas Sabo, and chat about why the trends they tap into have become a bit of an obsession for me.
I have always been one for silver necklaces – I love how silver looks on my skin tone, and it matches up so well with the monochrome outfits I often put together. The necklace I’m wearing here is from the super cute Ocean Stars jewellery collection, perfect for a beach-lover like me. There are a few reasons I chose this necklace…firstly, I love the ocean; secondly, I adore anything star shaped (and this totally counts) and finally, the turquoise shade is in keeping with my birth stone!
Can you not totally imagine yourself wearing this necklace on a gorgeous summer holiday evening whilst sipping a piña colada? It would also work perfectly with a Boho-style outfit, as well as with something like this animal print shirt I’m currently loving. Something Thomas Sabo keep in mind for their collections is layering and matching jewellery pieces for a total statement look, and this necklace would lend itself perfectly to that trend.
Let’s move on to one of my ultimate favourite pieces from their Spring/Summer 2018 ranges – this stunning Feather bracelet from the Tropical jewellery collection! It’s made in high quality 925 Sterling Silver, and feels beautifully premium.
Just look at the detail! Right now I am absolutely LOVING all-things-tropical, inspired by our honeymoon trip to Joshua Tree. In the gorgeous BnB we stayed in there were so many tropical design nods, and it’s left me wanting to incorporate this style into both my clothing/accessories and our home. There are so many things I adore about this bracelet, from the bright colour pops to the unexpected details (see the photo below – isn’t it super cute?).
I think I’ve had a thing for feather designs since I was an early teen, and something about them still captivates me. I think it’s because they’re delicate and intricate whilst still making a statement, just like this bracelet – the detail is incredible and it’s ideal for my slim wrists, yet it still catches the eye.
You can see the colour inspiration that’s gone into the piece, like tropical plants and the dark greens of the jungle; it’s something I’ll be wearing all summer with a whole host of different outfits!
The final offering from Thomas Sabo I wanted to show you today is a simply stunning pair of earrings – these beauties tie into the other pieces I’m wearing with that incredible turquoise shade, and tap into yet another trend with this beauts marble effect. I’ve had a long-standing love for different earring trends, yet have tended to stick with the same styles. I’m trying to make a change in that department, and a statement pair of studs like these were the perfect place to start.
If you look closely you might be able to tell that I have a few more holes in my ears than it first appears – this means I’ve got another awesome opportunity to mix and match with other beautiful Thomas Sabo pieces. So many items from their ranges would complement these studs perfectly – they actually have over 200 earring designs in total, so I’ve got plenty to choose from! Plus, if silver jewellery ain’t really your thang, they also have 18ct rose and yellow gold plating designs available.
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate how stunning these earrings are though…they kept catching my eye every time I looked in the mirror, and my dad (who kindly took these photos for me) complimented them as soon as we met up!
Just one extra little note I wanted to add on – as many of you will know I recently got married, and am still loving all-things-weddings. Thomas Sabo actually do a beautiful bridal jewellery range, featuring pieces perfect not only for the bride but the bridesmaids and even the groom, too! Isn’t everything on that entire page just gorgeous? It’s giving me so much inspiration for when friends of mine get married – any of these items would make ideal bridal shower gifts!
