Review: ELF Nail Polish in Metal Madness

I finally caved and painted my nails with a proper colour a few days ago – I had been trying to get them in super healthy condition and perhaps grow them, but I took one look at my nail polish bag and couldn’t resist! I chose the ELF Nail Polish in Metal Madness to jazz up my naked nails:

ELF Nail Polish in Metal Madness

I hadn’t planned to review this nail polish, but once I’d been wearing it for a couple of days I knew I’d have to. And why? Because…it hadn’t chipped. At all!

I’m probably the clumsiest person in the world, and can chip nail polish in a matter of seconds, so I didn’t have massively high hopes for for a polish that costs £1.50. I was impressed from the start; the application was smooth, the finish of the polish was lovely – I do have to say that it took longer than average to dry though.

Here is how my nails looked after 2 days of wearing the polish (which included a day out in Manchester, which would usually ruin a fresh nail paint):

As you can see, there are only tiny imperfections, and no sizeable chips to speak of! I would love to try more of the ELF Nail Polishes in the future, but I will try to use up some existing ones before I splurge!

Stay Creative,

I love the colour! The brand looks good and smooth, but I’ve tried some other brands before but sometimes they created a bumpy surface on the nail. But hopefully I’ll try ELF nail polish one day. 🙂

I like the colour, but i dont really like the elf nail polishes. i bought two and they were nice colours but the texture was thin, plasticy and watery. it took a lot of coats to get it opaque, evne then it still felt like i had plastic on my nails. i prefer Collection 2000 hot looks fast dry nail polishes, i prefer the texture and theyre only £1.79! xx

Great color! I’ll have to try it, I have the same problem with chipping my polish right away.
