I have admitted in the past that I can be a bit of a mascara snob, and am always cautious of trying out new ones; when the lovely Holly Arabella sent me the new Boots 17 Falsifeye Mascara, I was intrigued to see whether it would live up to its name.
Like so many others, the mascara claims to be a ‘false lash effect’ product – how many times have we heard that phrase?! When I first tried the mascara, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the brush was nice and chunky – something I really love in a mascara.
So, the big question: does it work? I’m reluctant to say that it makes you look like you’re wearing false lashes – of course it doesn’t, but it still looks pretty fantastic. Mascara is the one make up item that I really splurge on, so it really takes a lot for a drugstore mascara to impress me. But this has really done the job! Here are before and after photos of my lashes:
And after using the mascara…
All-in-all, I’m really happy with this mascara. To add to it’s already-enticing appeal, it’s only £6.48 from Boots – much, much cheaper than the mascara I currently use. I’m not entirely converted (old habits die hard!) but this is absolutely one of the best drugstore mascaras I have used.
