Before I begin, I just want to say that I know it’s been a little while since my last post (or YouTube video…or Instagram update…) but there’s been all sorts going on, which I will be talking about more in a video tomorrow! Until then, here’s a post I’ve been meaning to write for a few weeks – here are 5 fashion brands I am super excited about right now, and I think you should be too!
Rock On Ruby
Rock On Ruby are, in a word, badass. Their slogan t-shirts are the definition of on-point, their jumpers are equal parts cosy and sassy and their gym range is all the motivation I need to actually work out. Plus, the clothing side of the brand is just the tip of the iceberg! The label is headed up by the fabulous Holly, whose own awesome blogging expertise helps to make sure Rock On Ruby is tapping into all of the latest trends (and humour) from the online world. Earlier this year I spent the day with the team and fellow bloggers Sophia and Erin and we had so much fun – if you’ve never checked out the Rock On Ruby site, I highly recommend getting on the case!
It’s no secret that I adore Joanie, from the amazing team behind the label to the gorgeous vintage-style clothes they bless us with time and time again. This Manchester-based brand recently celebrated their first birthday, and what a year it’s been for them! From sell-out t-shirts that have had everyone talking (we all know I mean the Brunch Club tee!) to being featured on some of the biggest and best fashion blogs around, it’s clear why everyone wants a slice of Joanie. Their clothes are not only beautiful, but amazing quality too. I’m honoured to have worked with them modelling some of their creations – each time I’ve had a blast!
100 Hail Marys
Every now and again you receive an email from a clothing brand that really catches your eye – 100 Hail Marys did that for me! They screen print all of their clothing pieces by hand from their London studio, and each design is strictly limited to just 100 pieces. I love the idea of owning an item of clothing which has not only been made with a huge amount of care, but has that ‘limited edition’ factor to it too. The design you can see in the photo above is one of my current favourites – the words remind me of that great Alice In Wonderland quote. There are also some amazing vintage pieces available too!
Why hello again, me! If you follow me on Instagram I have no doubt you’ll have seen some great pieces from new Manchester-based brand LOTD popping up on my feed over the summer. I have basically lived in this chain-adorned denim jacket and lace-up tee since I got them, and am super excited to wear some of the new season pieces from LOTD too. They’re one of those brands which has something for every style – whereas the outfit above is quite alternative, there are also lots of heels, bodycon dresses and pretty pastel pieces to peruse (check out that alliteration, yo).
Now Lazy Oaf have been around for a while now, but lately I’ve found myself checking their page on ASOS constantly. There’s something so charming about their designs – they’re just FUN. I feel like fashion has become a bit serious lately (or perhaps a bit boring? Am I allowed to say that?) and Lazy Oaf is like a breath of fresh air. I mean, are you really trying to tell me that this metallic puffer jacket doesn’t make your inner 90s kid’s heart soar?! Behave.
What do you think of the brands on my list? Leave me a comment and let me know!
