Today I’m going to having an in-depth look at the Mark Hill Kerasatin Shampoo and matching Conditioner – this review has been a long time coming as I actually first tried these out in May! As regular readers will know, I like to rotate my hair care products so I actually still have some of the products left, and have really enjoyed including them in my routine.
Let’s start with the shampoo. One of the first things I noticed about it is that a little goes quite a long way, and that’s coming from someone who has ridiculously long and thick hair! I can wholeheartedly agree with the product claim that it soothes and tames frizz, as I had zero issues with either of these things after using the shampoo. On a regular basis I tend to use shampoos and conditioners made for prolonging my blonde highlights, but using these every now and again seems to do my hair a world of good.
In the past, I had a Keratin straightening treatment on my hair (I know, I know, my hair is already straight, but it was for review purposes!) and I noticed that these products provide results that remind me of that treatment – I think the best way to describe it is in the manageability of my locks. I seems to have fewer problems with knots and flyaway when I use these Mark Hill gems, which is why I keep coming back to them within my routine!
Let’s take a look at the conditioner now…
I have used the conditioner less regularly than the shampoo as I seem to have a backlog of conditioners to get through (does anyone else use WAY more shampoo than conditioner?! I heard someone say this the other way round recently and I didn’t understand how!) but I have been consistently pleased with the results from it. I felt it gave my hair a little bit of love without leaving any residue or heaviness behind – when you have as much hair as I do, any extra weight is never welcome! My other pet hate with conditioners is when you feel they’ve made your hair look greasy quicker, but I’m happy to report that it wasn’t the case with the Kerasatin conditioner.
I have used Mark Hill hair products for YEARS, and have never felt let down by them whatsoever. I’m going to continue to use these beauties and look out for the next offering from the brand!
I’ve also noticed they’re currently on offer at Boots for £5.00 each, so grab a bargain!
