A week or so ago, I was invited to the Spring/Summer 16 preview event for MyBag.com. To say I’m a huge fan of handbags is like saying Adele can kind of hold a tune. I am OBSESSED. The thought of being in a room full of gorgeous bags (a room at Artisan in Manchester, no less) and fabulous fellow bloggers seemed like the perfect evening, and I was excited to pop along as soon as I got the email!
(Many of the photos in this post were taken by the awesome Garry Finch!)
As soon as I arrived I was mesmerised by the beautiful new season bags on display. From Karl Lagerfeld and Lulu Guinness to Furla and the Cambridge Satchel Company, there was something for every taste and style. I am loving pastel colours right now – see that beautiful Grafea lilac backpack in the photo above? I was crushing on it all night long, and it may have to be one of my next purchases!
I have to say that I am a total sucker for quirky bags (and shoes for that matter!). The offerings from Karl Lagerfeld and Lulu Guinness were amongst some of my favourite pieces of the evening – how adorable is the robot cat bag above? And the little matching clutch! The classic Lulu lips clutch bags always get me too, they are strangely timeless for such an unique design. There were also some more ‘everyday’ cuts and styles to swoon over, like the Loeffler Randall bag pictured below. Check me out in the background getting my hair done! More on that in a minute…
The bags were undoubtedly divine, and the extra elements of the night were no less fantastic. The food and cocktails supplied by Artisan were delicious, and the Style Station set up by Red Angel Hair Co was amazing. You may have seen my Instagram post pictured below on my feed – my curls stayed in for DAYS and looked no less amazing by the time I washed my hair. I have been back to their stand in the Arndale centre a couple of times now and have had incredible results each time. I am totally in love with the way they work and would highly recommend checking them out!
The MyBag team are simply lovely – not only are they incredible knowledgable about the products they represent but they’re genuinely interested to hear about how things are going for your blog or YouTube channel – this can be rare in the blogging world! I had a lovely evening with some awesome bloggers, some I’d met many a-time and some brand new faces. We also all received a generous and thoughtful goodie bag, and I just had to share a sneak peek at it below. Not only is that a personalised Cambridge Satchel Company luggage tag, but a Real Techniques brush and Wet Brush styling tool too! We’re lucky ducks, that’s for sure.
A huge thank you to MyBag and everyone else involved on the night for such a lovely event. I will be keeping a very close eye on their website, and constantly tempting myself to make that new bag purchase too!
