Dry shampoo has saved me from many a hair catastrophe, so when I ran out of my usual Batiste Dry Shampoo I decided to be a little more adventurous. I saw that they had the new Big & Bouncy XXL Volume version in Boots, and couldn’t wait to try it out! Who would say no to a little more volume, hey?
I was slight dubious about the ‘Big and Bouncy’ claim – my hair has a lovely little habit of looking gloriously full-bodied and lush just after a blow-dry and them promptly falling flat. Did it live up to its claims in that respect?
Well, frankly…yes! My hair definitely had more volume and body, which is something I absolutely love. I don’t know that it was particularly ‘bouncy’, but then again I didn’t go jumping around my room to prove that one!
In terms of ease of usage, it was a typical dry shampoo experience – spray in, massage for a minute or so, leave for a while for the product to do its work, then brush out and style.
I feel like the dry shampoo instantly made my hair look much better – the only negative point I will make is that it made my hair feel a little sticky, something which I haven’t experienced with Batiste products before. To be fair though, if you were in a situation where anyone would need to feel your hair, it’s probably a situation in which you would just wash it. The aesthetically-pleasing factors hugely outweigh any touch-related ones!
And the end result?
