Halloween: Vampire Avril Lavigne Make Up Tutorial

Halloween Avril Lavigne Vampire make up

Halloween is just around the corner – hands up, who else is super excited?! I still haven’t decided what I’m going to dress up as this year, but I couldn’t resist filming this make up tutorial for you. There has been a joke rumour circulating lately that Avril Lavigne is, in fact, a vampire…she doesn’t appear to age, has those distinctive fangs and pale complexion…I absolutely had to make this fun tutorial!

I wanted to go for the classic ‘Avril’ look, i.e. the tank top and tie. It’s also a nod to her ‘Here’s To Never Growing Up’ video, which incidentally fits very well with the theme! I didn’t want to go overboard with the make up and accessories – I like my Halloween looks to be do-able and easy for everyone to achieve, so decided on good old fangs and the dripping fake blood. Take a look at the tutorial!

There’s a list of the products I used in the description of the video – they’re all quite straightforward and the actual Halloween pieces are just from good old Claire’s Accessories! If you wanted to complete the old school Avril Lavigne look, you could totally pair what I did with baggy black cut offs, vans and a cap – it depends how dedicated to the costume you fancy being! I think it goes without saying, but I’d like to say it anyway – this is just a fun tutorial, all part of an in-joke amongst Avril fans about her youthful looks. I adore her and created this tutorial as a fun Halloween tribute to the lady herself!

If this isn’t your kind of Halloween look, let me share a couple of my past tutorials with you. Fancy going as a cute-yet-creepy pumpkin this year? Check this video out!

Or how about a mime?! It’s a really straightforward yet effective look, and the matching black and white costume would be really easy to put together too. I really loved creating both of these looks, even though they were done a few years ago now. Halloween is definitely the most fun time to play around with make up!

What are you doing for Halloween this year? Will you be dressing up – tell me all the details!

Stay Creative,
