Review: Max Factor Lipstick in Plush Blush #630

I’ve been away for the past couple of days at Simple HQ, doing lots of fun things and meeting fantastic people – one of those being celebrity make up artist Caroline Frazer. Caroline is an absolutely lovely person, and very generous too! Just before she left the offices, she produced a bag full of make up products, and let me take my pick (I literally felt like I was in heaven!). Keep an eye out for many upcoming reviews, starting with this one – my review of the Max Factor Lipstick in Plush Blush.

I have been digging around on the Max Factor website, and it appears that this shade is still available to buy – I couldn’t find it on the Boots website, but I’m sure it is available somewhere or other! I wasn’t 100% sure that this colour was going to suit me at first, but on Wednesday evening Caroline gave me a make up lesson (which was amazing!) and tried a similar shade on my lips. It won me over, and this was the result with the Max Factor lipstick:

So, what do you think? I have loved wearing it today already; it’s an absolutely perfect ‘everyday’ shade, as it is quite natural and just really pretty. The application of the product is smooth and easy – the texture is almost a bit creamy but not so much that it is slippery on the lips. It is a sheer shade, which again makes it ideal for daytime wear. I have worn it with quite neutral eyes, but it would be possible to wear it with a heavier look without looking too ‘over-done’.

Just for good measure, here’s another look!

A huge thank you to Caroline for herย generosity! I really look forward to trying out the other products and reviewing them for you all.

The Max Factor lipstick retails at ยฃ7.99 – perhaps a little pricey, but I suppose it is all relative to how much you love it!

Stay Creative,

I actually like that shade of colour because it’s very natural and the colour is not too heavy and bright as sometimes you wouldn’t feel in the mood for heavy make-up. And personally, I think ‘darker colours on the eyes and lighter on the lips’ is the best way to do it. And not fogetting to mention, it does actually suit you.
