Despite being a lover of all-things-beauty, I’m actually pretty reserved when it comes to hair products. Shampoo, conditioner and a heat protection spray are really all I need, and all I use on a regular basis. However, every now and again something comes along and spikes my attention, making me think that *just this once* I could break out of my haircare routine and try something new! The subject of today’s post is one of those very products…
Ever since I can remember, I’ve had these pesky little flyaway hairs that stop my ‘do from looking that extra bit sleeker. When I was younger I used to yank them out (my sister would always shout at me for that, she’s always been the more sensible one!) but more recently I’ve just let them be. That is until I was introduced to the Ojon Rare Blend Tamer when I had a lovely breakfast meeting with the brand!
The product comes in a wand form, packed full of the Ojon goodness you’d expect and is designed to smooth frizz, flyways and broken strands of hair. It promises to never feel sticky or crunchy, and is also made to be invisible on the hair. Now, as someone who doesn’t like adding extra products to the hair I was a bit unsure about this at first, despite craving the finish it provides. I knew that if I could feel, see or sense the product on my hair at all it just wouldn’t be the solution for me.
My hair looked a bit unruly today, so I figured it was a good time to try it out on my roots. I used my fingers to get any super obvious chunks of hair back to their rightful place, before using the wand to take care of the finer strands that wouldn’t behave. Here’s how I got on!
Please ignore my roots and let me say…ta da! I honestly have to say that despite my skepticism I was really pleased with how the product performed. I can happily report that it left no weird residue on my hair whatsoever (in fact, no residue at all – it was magic!) and definitely helped to tame those rogue frizzy hairs. I also don’t feel like it made my hair look greasier or disturbed it in any way, which is awesome.
One other thing I have to mention is the scent – this product smells divine! I’m usually not one for commenting on how a beauty item smells but this is an exception. The gorgeous scent also lingered on my hair for a little while which was great, and definitely a plus point for me.
Have you used the Ojon Rare Blend Tamer? What do you think of it?
