Review: Kelly Osbourne MAC Lipstick in Dodgy Girl

Welcome to my second lipstick review of the day! I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to post this, and I’m sure you’ll see why…

I popped into Selfridges earlier today (it is a short walk from my apartment, which is dangerous!) and spied the brand new MAC Kelly Osbourne collection. Everything from her (and Sharon’s) line looked gorgeous, but one item really stood out for me. Before I knew it I’d entered my pin at the till and it was mine! I’m talking about the incredible Kelly Osbourne MAC Lipstick in Dodgy Girl!

Kelly Osbourne MAC Lipstick in Dodgy Girl review

I adore purple lipsticks, but for the summer months they can look a little bit heavy. I was chatting to the lovely MAC make up artist in Selfridges and we mentioned how totally summery this shade is – not that I needed any more convincing to buy it! It was £16.50 which is pretty standard for special edition MAC lipsticks, and I’m pleased I spent every penny of it.

Firstly, although the shade is a Matte is isn’t drying. My lips are horrendously dry and I had to exfoliate them before applying the lipstick – Dodgy Girl didn’t affect their moisture level in a negative way at all. I was slightly concerned that it wouldn’t suit my pale complexion and blonde hair, but I fell in love with the look as soon as I put the lipstick on!

What do you think?? I have just fallen head over heels in love with this lipstick – it’s SO different to what I’d usually go for, but I’m just obsessed with it. It totally reminds me of Kelly’s hair colour (which I assume is the point!) and it is seriously stunning. I am going to be wearing this all summer long, I know it!

If you’re loving the look of Dodgy Girl too, I’d get shopping pronto. The MUA warned me that it will likely sell out quickly, and is obviously a limited edition product! I might have to invest in a back up at some point soon…

You are truly lovely. My complexion is very similar to yours, so I am happy to see the whole effect. I wanted the Dodgy Girl to happen for me today, but a MAC store and two counters later, they had sold out in seconds because each place only got 7 of each shade. Yes, you read that correctly, 7 (I was able to scoop up the other three by not yelling at the artists as others were doing, but DG was the one I really wanted). I am so glad you got ot it, because it is beautiful with your skin and hair!

  3. This REALLY suits you! It looks gorgeous! I tried it on in store and it was far too pale for my skin tone, which sucks! 🙁
