Review: OPI Wharf! Wharf! Wharf!

I love a good OPI nail polish, and blue is one of my all-time favourite nail shades. I was super excited to try out the OPI Wharf! Wharf! Wharf! Liquid Sand Nail Polish which was kindly sent to me – I adore the Liquid Sand finish, and both the texture and shade just seemed perfect for this gorgeous, sunny weather!

As always, I started off with my OPI Nail Envy, which is my absolute go-to nail strengthener. I’d thoroughly recommend it – I have the worst nails in the world, but the Nail Envy helps to keep them looking and feeling much better. Plus, it acts as an awesome base coat too!

There it is, just chilling alongside Wharf! Wharf! Wharf! They make a pretty pair, right?!

After my Nail Envy had dried, I popped on a coat of Wharf! Wharf! Wharf! About 60 seconds after I’d applied it, the doorbell rang and I had to run to the lift to collect a parcel! Isn’t it always the way?! When I got back into my flat, I was thrilled to find that my nail polish hadn’t smudged at all – it really does dry that quickly. It was a pretty tough test but the Liquid Sand formula passed with flying colours.

The second coat worked like a charm too. It glided on easily even over the existing sand-textured first coat, and dried just as quickly the second time round! I’m totally in love with the finish for this very reason, and the fact it looks super interesting. In fact, the blue shade makes it look a little bit like water! I would definitely wear this on holiday for lazing by the pool. Not that I have a holiday booked this year… *cue tiny violins*

So, how did it look once both coats were applied and dried?

Another total winner from OPI! I actually put off trying this shade for a little while as I wasn’t sure how it would look on the nails as opposed to in the bottle, but I absolutely adore it. I can see this becoming one of my staple summer nail polishes for 2014, and can’t wait to pair it with some summery outfits!

What do you think of Wharf! Wharf!Wharf!?
