My Hair Care Routine: Long Hair (& Demo!)

I have done a few hair care routine-style videos in the past, but today I decided to put a little twist on the old format. Instead of just talking through what I do, I decided to do a step-by-step look at my routine from dirty to wet to dry hair. That meant I spent most of the video totally bare-faced, but I’m cool with that! I did give in at the end and pop some make up on, but lasted a pretty long time without 😉

There’s also an incredibly dorky moment in the video…who spotted it?

So let’s run through the products I mentioned. The shampoo and conditioner I used in the video were the KeraStraight Straight Maintain Shampoo (as I recently had the KeraStraight treatment) and the Ojon Color Sustain Pro Conditioner. I tend to rotate all of the shampoos and conditioners I use, meaning I end up using different combinations all the time.

Once I’d washed my hair, the brush I use is the Michel Mercier Detangling Brush. I then use the Schwarzkopf Heat Angel Heat Protection Spray as I always blow-dry. This is the only styling product I use on a regular basis as I don’t like to overload my hair with products, but I consider this one an essential!

I then dry my hair with my Mark Hill leopard print hairdryer – it’s been a great one for me, and still works just as well as when I bought it. I do use the highest heat setting as my hair is so long, and it really does the job well!

I always get lots of questions about my hair, so may do a separate Q&A video after this! If you have any questions, please do leave them below or on the video page and I’ll answer them fully in another video 🙂

Stay Creative,

Have you ever tried the Mark Hill blonde shampoos? Because I’m really curious about their quality 🙂

Hey! Chyaz, thanks for this video it has some great tips, plus your hair is beautiful. I just have a couple questions: How often do you wash your hair? How often do you switch out your conditioners? and Do you use anything between washes?
