Review: Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Lipstick in Adorned

Funnily enough, following on from my review yesterday, this is also a product sent to me by the lovely Megan, aka EasyAccessBeauty on YouTube. It is the Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Lipstick in Adorned.

Now, I have a rather amusing confession to make (which will also make me sound a bit dim) – when Megan first sent me the lipstick, I didn’t realise that Victoria’s Secret had a make up line. Therefore, I spend the next two weeks telling my make-up-interested friends about my new ‘VS’ lipstick (funnily enough, they’d never heard of the brand). It was only when I inspected the box that I saw the ‘Victoria’s Secret’ writing along the side…what an idiot.

So, to the product itself! I was obsessed with wearing this lipstick on nights out when I first got it, and still like to wear it every now and then. It is very sheer – the pink colour is nowhere near as vibrant as it looks in the tube, and there is actually more glitter running through the lipstick than you’d think, too.

Saying this, however, I’m not sure that’s a bad thing. If the pink colour was more pigmented, the lipstick might look like it belonged in a child’s dressing up set rather than a 20 year-old’s make up box. I think there is a nice balance, and it is perfect for those nights out when you’re feeling a little, well, glittery!

I haven’t tried any other Victoria’s Secret products – any to recommend?

Stay Creative,

I like their lip gloss. My favorite one is ‘Mischief’. It’s a nice pale pink color. I love it! I wear it all the time!

I picked up a few Victorias Secret products at the airport and I was quite disappointed, they don’t last very long and I dislike the sickly scent!

Sorry in advance for the length! I’ll give you short version 1st incase you don’t wanna listen to me babble lol
Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Eyeshaddow, the one in the liquid eye liner looking container.
    Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Gloss
    Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara
    Mary Kay Eye Makeup Remover
Their beauty rush eyeshaddows are amazing! They come in this…liquid eye liner looking bottle. The brush is on the inside of the handle. Its loose shadow inside, but its really hard to spill. Trust. I’m always playing rockstar while I’m getting ready. LoL The brush makes it easy to use it as an all over color or contour. I also line my bottom lashes for a lil color and sparkle. I have “Goldblinger” a rich sparkly sandy color, and “Bronze Ambition”, a shimmery medium-light brown. I’ve also had “too too pink”. They are amazing! They’re great to toss in your bag as they can’t break or open and get everywhere. They last a goodwhile too.I’ve had mine about 1 1/2 years and still have 1/2 of each left! I’ve worn the goldblinger to the bar, woke up the next morning with some still left lol Their beauty rush lip gloss is good too, maybe a lil sticky for some maybe, but its high shine and has lots of choices. Both have a permanat slot in my makeup bag. They were about $7 each when I got mine. My dog ate my lip gloss so I’m using Cover Girl’s Amazement in “Everything’s Rosy” its pretty good, but I’m partial to my beauty rush. Also for mascara, tey Mary Kay’s Ultimate Mascara in whatever the blackest black is. It does everything it says it will. No flakes, no smears, ect. That’s about either $13 or $18 each. Totally worth it!

I have some of their body lotions, sprays and a body wash. They’re from the Secret Garden line/collection and I absolutely LOVE them. I was so excited when Victoria’s Secret came to Canada because I’m finally able to get them when I run out instead of waiting years to go to the US. I suggest Vanilla Lace and Luscious Kisses. I will try and find the picture I have of my collection to put on my blog if you’re interested in seeing the product/packaging. I’ll have to try this lipstick too now!
