Review: Sleek Gloss Me in Belle Of The Ball

Sleek have long been one of my favourite make up brands – I find their products to be incredibly good value and high quality. When the amazing kindly sent me a bundle of goodies around Christmas time, the Sleek Gloss Me Lipgloss in Belle Of The Ball was tucked inside the package! I was excited to try it out, but manic Christmas plans distracted me and I actually only got round to it today.

The gloss is in a beautiful tube, which looks far more expensive than the £4.99 price tag it holds. The Sleek logo is elegantly yet subtly embossed onto the wand handle, letting the gorgeous shade of the product speak for itself. I adore peachy shades, yet tend to avoid most glosses as I don’t like the stickiness. However, I was curious to know whether this could look as lovely on the lips as in the tube.

Sleek Gloss Me in Belle Of The Ball review

As I’ve mentioned about a hundred thousand times, my lips are incredibly dry at the moment. Little seems to help them, and I have to choose my lip products careful to avoid making them even worse. As soon as I started to apply Belle Of The Ball, the first thing I noticed was its moisturising properties. It didn’t feel like a slippery gloss, sliding all over the lips – it has a thickness to it that is hydrating rather than gloopy. Off to an amazing start!

Slick after slick, the gloss only continued to impress me. The colour was a gorgeous sheer peach with just a hint of sparkle – nothing too OTT, and I loved that it wasn’t overly sticky. I expect glosses to have a certain stickiness, but this one felt much smoother than others I’ve tried.

After wearing the gloss for around 2 hours, and drinking water as usual, it had about worn off. That’s pretty good going in my eyes – I usually expect a gloss to last for around an hour when eating and drinking normally. What I was most thrilled to find is that my lips were not dried out in the slightest! Result!

It’s a big seal of approval for Sleek from me. Have you tried any products from their Gloss Me range?

Oooh this looks lovely! I still haven’t tried any Sleek products, next time I’m in a store that has them definitely going to make an effort to pick some stuff up 🙂

They’re awesome! I’d definitely recommend the glosses and the Contour Kit 🙂 x
