Review: Neal & Wolf Glow Super Shine Spray

I don’t often post reviews of hair styling products, mainly because I don’t do much in the way of styling my hair πŸ˜‰ good old shampoo and conditioner are always at the top of my hair essentials list, but today I will be featuring a finishing spray – possibly for the first time ever! Introducing theΒ Neal & Wolf Glow Super Shine Spray.

Neal & Wolf Glow Super Shine Spray review

I think I received this in a Glossybox a little while ago, and have been meaning to give it a whirl for ages. I thought today would be a good time to put it to the test…here’s a little bit of context. After my gruelling morning workout (I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re feeling ill like me!) and shower, my hair looked in need of sprucing up so I popped on some dry shampoo.

As this is a shine spray, I wondered how it would react with the mattifying dry shampoo I had applied. It does tend to make my hair look a little flat, so thought it would be an ideal time to really put the spray through its paces.

So after allowing my dry shampoo to do its thing, I spritzed the Neal & Wolf Glow spray all over my hair. It advises to do this as evenly as possible, but with such long hair it’s pretty tricky. I started at the roots and tried to move down the length of my locks as best I could!

I have to say that the results weren’t breathtaking – I did a ‘Before’ and ‘After’ shot so you could see the difference. I will say that I think certain strands of my blonde hair were definitely highlighted, giving a general shine effect, but I also think it drew a bit of attention to my roots and undid some of the dry shampoo’s work.

Apologies for my general appearance – I’m not wearing a scrap of make up and my nose is super red due to my cold! But I think you can see what I mean – there is definitely some added glow, but nothing to write home about. For a Β£12.50 spray, I would be expecting a little more.

However, please do feel free to tell me I’m totally wrong! When I don’t really ‘get’ a product I’m willing to admit that I could have used it in totally the wrong way at entirely the wrong time. Have you used this spray and love it? Let me know!

Stay Creative,
