Review: ELF Lip Exfoliator

Welcome to my second ELF review of the month – I’m pleased to say it is much more positive than the last one! I mentioned in a recent blog post that my lips have been super chapped, dry and flaky lately. The cold weather does not agree with me on any level! That’s why I added this little guy to my shopping basket whilst placing my last ELF order – it’s the ELF Lip Exfoliator!

ELF Lip Exfoliator beauty review

The product is actually contained within a regular lipstick-sized tube, but comes with all this additional card packaging (which I think is a little unnecessary, but I recycle it anyway!). I had a read of the ingredients whilst filming my latest beauty haul video, and from what I can tell the exfoliator is essentially a sugar scrub in lipstick form. I was excited to try it out!

I’ve found that my lips have not taken colour well at all recently, especially lipsticks which risk drying them out even more. I have so many that I’d love to make use of during the winter so I really hoped this product would work wonders…

ELF Lip Exfoliator beauty review

I am very happy to report that this product worked brilliantly! It is one of the best lip exfoliators I have ever tried, and in the past I have used ones by super high-end brands. After just one use my lips felt instantly smoother, and I have had no trouble with flakiness or extreme dryness since. I still use my regular lip balm throughout the day but haven’t actually had to exfoliate in just under a week.

The ELF Lip Exfoliator costs £3.75, which is slightly more expensive than some of the products in their regular line but is still a total bargain when taken out of the brand context. Plus, when something works this well it is easy to see its value! I’d thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is having lip-related troubles at the moment, and don’t forget to visit the ELF Facebook page before placing your order – they often post about special money-off deals like free shipping codes.

Worth every penny! Mwah!

Stay Creative,

I think I’ll be getting this soon as due to the cold my lips have been rather dry and chapped!
