Hair care is, without a doubt, one of my top beauty priorities. When your hair is as long as mine, there’s no choice but to take good care of it! I adore John Frieda products – they have always worked best for me, and the Sheer Blonde range is my go-to. When they sent me a wonderful bundle of products from their new Luxurious Volume range to try out, I couldn’t wait!
This review is all about the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo – I like to review products separately as they all have specific functions. Plus, I like to use at least one colour protecting product per hair wash, so it made sense to mix and match these when reviewing.
Firstly, I loved that the product itself was clear – I always feel like my hair is getting a good clean with a clear liquid for some reason! It lathered up brilliantly and a little went a long way. There was no strong smell to the shampoo, which is another plus in my book.
I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting wonders when it came to the shampoo giving my hair extra volume – because it is so long and thick, strong-hold hairsprays struggle to make my hair bouncy! However, I was impressed on two fronts with this product.
Firstly, it made my hair feel gorgeously soft. Even now, a couple of days after washing, it still feels smooth and silky. And that’s right down to the tips, too – thumbs up all round!
But secondly, it did actually give my hair a little lift – as in it no longer looked so flat. That is more than I could expect from a shampoo, so I was very impressed indeed! Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t look like Dolly Parton, but my hair didn’t look plastered to my head like it tends to sometimes.
Once again, John Frieda hasn’t let me down. There’s a good reason I’ve used products from the brand for the best part of 10 years! The shampoo retails for around £5.99.
I will be posting more Luxurious Volume reviews very soon, so stay tuned!
