Guess who’s back with a brand new, erm, review (I wanted to type ‘rap’ so badly). Welcome back to Chyaz.com, I’m sorry for my short absence – I’ve been super YouTube-focussed lately, and have slightly neglected my blog. I am determined to get back to my daily posts though, so let’s start now!
This review will be all about the brand new MUA Lash Boom Mascara – MUA kindly sent me this in the post last week, which was a nice surprise as I love trying out new mascaras.
I loved the bold packaging instantly, and I’m a sucker for a chunky mascara tube!
I was instantly drawn in by the little sticker on the handle, showing what the brush looks like – it’s definitely the biggest ‘ball on the end of a mascara wand’ that I’ve seen, and there have been MANY over the years from different brands.
Here’s a closer look:
I did initially think that the ‘ball’ would make applying the mascara a little difficult as it would get in the way, but I didn’t want to judge it before I’d given it a good go! I usually always curl my lashes before applying mascara but skipped that step to make sure my review is all fair and square.
Here are my ‘before’ lashes:
And after a couple of coats of the MUA Lash Boom Mascara:
Not bad at all! It is worth pointing out at this point that the mascara retails for £3, which is a total bargain, and is definitely something to take into account. For the price, it performs very well and holds up quite nicely even without curling the lashes first.
The wand ‘ball’ didn’t get int the way at all whilst coating the top lashes, and at the bottom it actually came in handy to coat all of the smaller ones. I will definitely be using this once my current mascara has run out, and can’t wait to see how it works with my curler!
