As some of you may remember, I went through a teeth whitening process towards the end of last year and was thrilled with the results. I’m still pretty happy – and my teeth are certainly whiter than before, but felt like I needed some kind of top-up.
After attending the #FabbBloggersManc event a couple of weeks ago, I was pleasantly surprised to find this in my goodie bag!
It is the Pearl Drops Restore White Toothpaste, designed for tea and coffee drinkers. I drink a LOT of tea, and thought this might work quite well for me! As you can see, it boasts a ‘4D’ Whitening System – this includes things like stain removal, shinier teeth and plaque removal.
I did actually take ‘Before’ and ‘After’ photos, but when I looked back I realised how much of a different small changes in lighting can make, and didn’t want to mislead anyone. I’ll try to explain my experiences with the product as best I can!
Firstly, the tube is the standard Pearl Drops shape and has a twist lid – I personally prefer flip lids on toothpaste, but that’s just me being pedantic!
The taste of the toothpaste was surprisingly minty, although it does warn not to swallow any of the product so do take care! I felt like I was getting a refreshing clean as well as a whitening treatment, which is quite unusual for a toothpaste like this.
I have to say that I didn’t notice a huge difference in the shade of my teeth – perhaps a slight improvement, but my teeth are already fairly white. I would say that if your teeth are more stained you’d probably see more of a result, but considering I have already properly whitened mine I wasn’t too disappointed with the small result after just over a week.
After using for the past week or so, I’m now reverting back to my good old Colgate toothpaste – it’s nothing particularly against the Pearl Drops one, but I’ve realised that my teeth are doing pretty OK as they are. Just another case of me being picky!
Have you tested out the Pearl Drops Restore White Toothpaste?
