Is there anything more exciting than trying out a new nail polish brand for the first time?! Ok, I’m sure there is, but I am a nail polish addict after all!
In this month’s Glossybox I was thrilled to find this gorgeous item – the Headline Colors Nail Polish in Catwalk.
The brand – previously called Killer Colours – threw me a little with their American spelling (I still can’t work out where they originated!) but enthralled me with the gorgeous shade of this polish.
And there was my answer! Made in the UK…the spelling of ‘Colors’ will have to remain a mystery (can you tell I’m a writer?)
I made sure to use a good clear base coat as the colour looked quite strong, and stained nails are not a good look. Once it was totally dry, I popped one coat of Catwalk over the top.
And THAT, ladies and gents, is just one coat! It applied like a dream, and even though I only used a think layer it was totally opaque. There are so few nail polishes that can truly say they are a ‘one coat’ product, but this totally is.
All of the Headline Colors nail varnishes retail at £9, which makes total sense considering the quality. I adored the finish – which is super shiny, almost wet-look – and the shade itself is so summery.
I would say that the colour is much more red on the nails than in the bottle, where it looks to be a pinky red. I am aware that the photo also makes it look a little coral-ish, which it isn’t in reality.
Have you tried out any of the Headline Colors polishes?
