I’m the first to admit that hair tutorials are not my strong point. I’m often asked to do them on YouTube, and panic a little each time! But on New Year’s Eve last year (or this year, however you look at it!) my sister did a super simple hairstyle on me which I have come to adore.
I recreated it myself in my latest video – Quick Hair Fix: Flat to Fierce!
(P.s. can we all just take a moment to laugh at my ridiculous ‘sad’ facial expression in the left hand photo!)
It is very quick, and takes only a matter of minutes. All you need to complete the look is:
- Dry Shampoo – I love Batiste for this
- A brush for teasing or backcombing the hair – mine is by Richard Ward
- A headband – my favourite is from Boohoo
When I woke up on the morning of filming this video, my hair felt totally limp and lifeless. I knew that I wanted to add some volume and make the look a little fierce, and I feel that this totally achieves that goal!
After following the steps in the video to tease the hair, it looks gorgeously messy at the back. This is something I love, and like to slightly refine the look by adding the headband. It creates a smoother front to the look whilst still embracing the beehive-inspired volume at the back!
I’m always on the look out for more super fast hair styles, for those days when you just want a quick fix for your hair. If you have any tips or advice please do let me know!
Thanks for watching the video, and please feel free to subscribe for much more.
