Review: Miners Lip Colour in Dreamer

One of the things I love most about the Glossybox is discovering new brands! Before yesterday, I had never heard of Miners cosmetics, but after spying the gorgeous Miners Lip Colour in Dreamer amongst the pink Glossybox tissue paper, I’m very glad I have!

The lipstick came as part of the love-themed February 2013 Glossybox:

It is a dusky pink with a whole lot of sparkle – I love lipsticks like that for nights out, and was instantly attracted to the packaging of the product. I always think that an important element of a lipstick is how it looks and feels – if you’re applying it in public, you want to feel a little bit glamorous and this certainly looks special.

This is certainly on the more nude side of pink, which is nice for a change. Sheer lipsticks are great for the time around Valentine’s Day – it makes those impromptu smooches a little less obvious!

I applied just one coat to my lips…

As I always mention, my lips are very dry so this lipstick was a special treat! It is very silky and feels moisturising  which is unusual for a very shimmery product. I have several glittery lipsticks that are instantly drying, but this really did prove to be the exception to the rule.

The colour is just a little too frosty for me personally, as I have blonde hair and pale skin it can wash me out. But I think it would look beautiful on darker skin tones than mine, and gives a highlight effect to the cupid’s bow, too!

One of the greatest things about this lipstick is that it retails for just £3.99 – there’s nothing like getting a make up bargain on a chilly Monday morning!

Have you tried out any of the other Miners make up products? If you have any recommendations, please do let me know – I keep checking out their website!

Stay Creative,

I remember Miners. We used to be able to get it in Superdrug a few years ago. Looks like it’s changed now, it used to be sort of “cheap” teenage makeup.
