Pink or fuchsia nail polishes are a lifelong obsession of mine, and when I first picked up the Mariah Carey for OPI miniatures set I was delighted to find The Impossible! It is a gorgeous matte fuchsia with star confetti that I just had to try out.
Now this nail varnish was super hard to photograph – not only because of the terrible natural light here in the UK at the moment, but because it looks totally different in different lights. It can look lovely and pink one minute, then red the next.
I wondered whether that would be the case when the polish was actually on the nails…I’m not too much of a fan of red polishes on me, so hoped it wouldn’t divert away from the pink.
I was a bad blogger and forgot to take a photo after just the first coat, but here’s how The Impossible looked after two coats:
I think the Liquid Sand effect looks stunning in this shade, and I’m glad to report that it looked beautifully pink at all times! The glitter was a little more pronounced in this polish, but considering it is pink, it seems like a very Mariah thing to do!
If you’re interested, this is the entire miniatures set that I purchases for £12.95:
I have been thoroughly impressed with every single polish I have tried from the collection so far, and I can confidently say that they are amongst my favourite OPI polishes of all time. Genius!
If you’re a fellow fan of the Mariah Carey for OPI collection, let me know which of the shades you’re loving!
