I have more of a lifestyle review for you today, but one I think you’ll like! Scented candles seem to be huge amongst the beauty blogging community, and I absolutely love them too. I was super excited when the Kringle Candle company offered to send me some candles to review!
The Kringle Candle company is run by the son of the founder of Yankee Candles – I bet you can guess what the conversations are like around that family dinner table! I had spotted some gorgeous-sounding scents on their website and was thrilled to receive a great selection of products in the post.
Daylight & Tealight Candles
I was sent a wonderful selection of tea light-style Daylight candles. The scents range from Coconut Pineapple and Strawberry to American Apple Pie and Brownie Cheesecake! I have to say that my person favourite was this little beauty though:
These candles are small but mighty. Like all Kringle Candles, they are white which is great as they go with any type of furniture and decor. The scents are powerful but not overwhelming, and are incredibly true to the flavours they depict on the packaging. Best of all, they retail for just £2 each!
Wax Potpourri Melts
I was a little confused when I first fished these guys out of the box – I saw that they didn’t have a wick, and as I’m not very quick to read the packaging I thought they were faulty! But no, they are designed to be broken up, possibly mixed and used in a melter. The scents I received included Cosy Cabin, Fresh Cut Grass, Fresh Mint and Hot Chocolate!
The melter wasn’t included in the box, but I actually think you could just leave these out and they’d make the room smell lovely (with their lids off, of course). They are highly scented and again are amazing. I will absolutely look into investing in a melter though, as it’s a fun alternative to a candle! The little pots retail for just £1.80 – another bargain!
Coloured Crystal Tumbler
As much as I do love to try new things, I will always have a love for big, chunky candles. Fresh scents are wonderful for the upcoming spring season, and this gorgeous tumbler seems perfect for that time (the yellow glass also reminds me of daffodils!)
This candle has the scent Warm Cotton – it smells so clean and fresh, and would be perfect for a bedroom (just make sure it’s not near any curtains or fabrics – I’m a fire safety freak!)
This one is a Medium size (I think, it’s hard to tell!), and costs £14 which is about the same price point as Yankee Candles!
Classic Apothecary Jars
I was kindly sent two of the Classic Apothecary Jars (does anyone else just think of Phoebe from Friends’ apothecary table fiasco when they hear that word?) – one is large, and I think the other is medium…
Here’s the large – my second favourite scent after the Watermelon. This is in Mango!
This is obviously the large jar – it is super tall! I know it will last for a very long time, and can’t wait to have it in mine and Tiz’s new flat (when we get round to moving!) The large jars cost £18, again a similar price point to Yankees, and is incredibly delicious.
The medium jar is an interesting one – it costs £14 and is in Watercolours:
It is a very fresh scent but much more subtle than the rest. If you’re after a super cleansing smell this might not be the one for you as it doesn’t seem to fill the room, but rather just give a general clean feel. I’d go for Warm Cotton if you’re wanting that spring-like freshness!
A great idea! This air freshener has the Under The Sea scent – it had a kind of candy sweetness to it without being too chemical-heavy like many air fresheners. They are £2.35 each, and great to pop in your virtual shopping basket to top up an order.
This little guy…
I don’t really get what this little fella was doing in the box, but he’s weird and dark and I like him. No idea quite what it is all about, but it’s a nice clean-smelling candle!
Note: I just looked on their website and he is from the ‘Gentlemen’s Line’ – a really awesome idea!
My overall verdict? I LOVE Kringle Candles! I think they are my new obsession, and will no doubt be sweeping the beauty world very soon. Expect them to be placed behind every beauty YouTuber in their video background very soon 😉
Disclaimer: the Kringle Candle company sent me these products for the purpose of review. I was not paid for this post, and all the views I have presented are 100% honest!
