For the second half of last year I did weekly posts about my weight loss journey – I absolutely loved doing them, and it helped to keep me on track with slimming down.
I’ve decided to take a bit of a different approach for 2013, however. Rather than doing a post every single week (which can get a bit tedious if there’s not much going on) I will create a Weight Loss Wednesdays post at intervals where I feel I have something helpful and informative to say. That’s the entire point of this blog!

I can’t tell you how much better I feel now compared to a few months ago. The healthy lifestyle is totally for me, and I couldn’t have it any other way now.
Naturally, over Christmas I put on a couple of pounds – I mean, who doesn’t?! I was quite restrained though, and tried my best to be healthy whilst still enjoying myself. For example, I enjoyed munching on party food but still opted for fruit as a general snack rather than chocolates. It’s just a bit of common sense!
I have also found that eating plenty of fruit and veg and drinking lots of water has done wonders for my skin. See, everyone knows that being healthy is amazing for your skin and body, but until you see it in action you can’t fully appreciate it.
So, what was the damage over Christmas? Well…
Total weight loss (since the beginning): 12lbs
That means I put on 3/4 lbs, which is totally fixable with a bit of exercise and healthy eating. Here’s to keeping fit and healthy in 2013!
