Review: Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara

It has been a proper review-fest on my blog so far this year! I’ve been loving trying out new products and outlining their pros and cons for you, and today I’ll be chatting about the new Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara.

Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara

The tube looks quite classic, and in a way a bit ’90s’ – very plain and simple, and not making any outlandish claims (I find myself constantly bewildered by how cheeky some companies are when it comes to mascara).

The brush is great, and reminds me of the Benefit They’re Real brush, but with a smaller ‘ball’ on the end. As for the shade, I went for Blackest Black rather than Brown!

I do love brushes like this, as you can wiggle them right into the base of the lashes to get a good coating of product. It also makes it much easier to target the smaller inner lashes, which can really help to create the appearance of volume.

Here are my naked lashes (oo-er!)

I added just one proper  coat of the mascara without curling my lashes and was thrilled with the result!

I have nothing but good things to say about this product, but if I had to make one tiny criticism I’d say that there were a couple of clumps until I brushed them out with the wand. They weren’t major though, and easily came out, so it really wasn’t a problem!

I then used a standard eyelash curler to lift my lashes on my other eye and added a coat of the mascara…

Wow! The curling did make a difference, but to be perfectly honest you almost don’t need it with this mascara. I really love it, and have saved the best piece of information about it ’til last…

I bought this mascara from Boots for just £5! Yes, seriously! It is currently on promotion but I don’t think it was more than £8 normally. I would highly recommend grabbing a bargain from your local Boots store now, as I don’t know how much longer it is going on.

Ten out of ten for this little gem!

Stay Creative,

This looks really good. Never really used Revlon product apart from the nail varnishes. May have to pick this up! Problem is, I’ve got about 6 mascara’s on the go already! Whoopsie 🙂 x

Is it waterproof? Or do they have a waterproof version? X

Thank you so much for this review! I’ve seen it so many times and thought about picking it up but, I’ve never heard much about Revlon mascaras so, never did. I’m definitely going to give it a try now! And I did see waterproof last time! I think it was new too 🙂
