Review: Butter London Nail Polish in Fiddlesticks

I have a beauty confession to make: up until yesterday, I had never tried a Butter London product. I know, huge blogger faux pas, but hey ho. I rectified this with a little purchase of the beautiful Butter London Nail Polish in Fiddlesticks.

For those in the UK, bargain alert! I picked up this polish from TK Maxx in a cute gift set with the matching lipgloss (more on that this weekend) for just £5! I had previously bought one as a gift for a lovely friend of mine for much more than that before Christmas, so their January sale is well worth a look.

The shade of this nail varnish is Fiddlesticks, which is an adorable name!

I applied my usual base coat before using the polish, as I imagined that the colour and glitter would come off quite strong. I wasn’t disappointed; Fiddlesticks turned out to be as stunning on the nails as it is in the bottle!

One coat was actually pretty fantastic on its own, but two really made the colour and glitter pop. Unlike a lot of glitter and shimmer polishes, the nails look totally coated rather than patchy – a real bonus!

As I always mention, I am a very clumsy person yet I haven’t managed to chip this polish yet – another huge plus point! I did apply a top coat, but that’s standard practise for me. It did take a good few minutes to dry (as I found out when I smudged my little finger nail on the side of my Macbook…oops) but if you have a bit of patience you’ll be left with luscious nails.

I am so glad to have come across Butter London polishes at long last! If you’re a fan of the brand, please do leave your recommendations for any of their products below. I’d really appreciate it!

Stay Creative,

Do you think you could let us know on Twitter how easy or how hard it is to remove it? I’m just wondering since it has the glitter in it, I hate glitter polish, I love the look of it, but I don’t have the patience to remove it, so I end up scratching it off and ruining my nails. If you can I’d really appreciate it, I’d like to know before I go and spend $15 for one bottle of nail polish.
