My New Year’s Eve Look!

For my first blog post of the year, I thought I would write about what was technically my first look of the year! I felt surprisingly good about how I looked last night, on New Year’s Eve, and I think most of it was down to trying something a little new.

The dress I wore was a leopard print skater number (no, not the clichéd TOWIE-style one, don’t worry!). It has some gorgeous mesh at the top and a festive gold belt. I featured it in this Outfit of the Day video back in 2011!

But the thing that really made me feel good about my first look of 2013 was my hair! My beautiful sister Steph is fantastic at styling hair – much better than I am! She decided to backcomb the top section for me, and I then added my bargain £4 Boohoo headband into the mix!

Please do forgive my pose, I realise how up myself I look! It was the best photo I could get of my hair, which is the important bit. I absolutely love the way my sister styled it, and wish I could recreate it every day!

I think this is a look I will go for more often – what do you guys think? Tiz commented that I looked ‘very 60s’, which is a great compliment from a bloke in my opinion (just them noticing is always a bonus!)

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s Eve – I’m feeling inspired and happy, and can’t wait to get my 2013 blog on!

Stay Creative,

Chyaz xox

Wow! I like it! It’s lovely! I’m also surprised to see your hair backcombed as I know you usually don’t like that because it damages the hair. But I suppose, if you’re careful, you can avoid damaging it too much. I love my hair all teased up and poofy but don’t do it often as my hair is VERY easily broken. I’m still trying to figure out a haircare routine that works for me. It’s especially difficult now I have bright red hair that needs constant colour maintenance!
