I was super tempted to do a video on this, but decided to make it a little exclusive for Chyaz.com! I am going to run through my favourite perfumes for the winter months – I am very season-oritened when it comes to scents, so thought this would be fun.
So far in 2012 I haven’t purchased any new fragrances (apart from my DKNY Be Delicious, which is definitely a summer scent), but these are some classic favourites.
Vivienne Westwood Let It Rock
This is my ultimate winter perfume, for very personal reasons! My boyfriend Tiz first bought my this scent on my 18th birthday (which is on December 5th) and I wore it for the entire month of December that year. It always reminds me of the first birthday and Christmas times that we were together (all together now: awww)
It is quite a rich and spicy scent, and is definitely perfect for the colder weather. I can’t explain why – I guess it just reminds me of those warmer Christmas smells. I will always love this fragrance, although it is very hard to get hold of these days.
Again, this perfume has some personal ties for me – my mum bought it for my for Christmas last year and I wore it around that time. It’s also the scent that she wears, so it always reminds me of her!
It is a very luxurious perfume; not as rich as the Vivienne Westwood one, but not particularly sweet either. I will probably wear this on New Year’s Eve, as it feels quite glamorous!
Avril Lavigne Forbidden Rose
Forbidden Rose is my everyday winter fragrance! I have been wearing it for the past few months, pretty much since autumn, and I do really like it. It does wear off quite quickly but is quite gentle for the day time.
Because the perfume is so affordable, it is OK to use a little bit more than you usually would to keep the scent fresh. I often top mine up a a couple of times a day by spritzing it onto my wrists.
Lady Gaga Fame
Ok, so I know I said I hadn’t bought any new perfumes in 2012 and that is technically true! I first smelt the Lady Gaga Fame perfume in a sample bottle, and have really liked it ever since.
This would be great for a night out in the winter as it is quite full-on, but very, very pleasant! I was so surprised by how much I loved this perfume. Very opulent and simply divine.
I’d love to know what your favourite fragrances for winter are!
