As Christmas is approaching, everyone is looking for the perfect gift – and who doesn’t love perfume? If you’re thinking of buying the Burberry Body Perfume for a loved one this year, be sure to read my review!
I received a sample of Burberry Body in my Glossybox this month – it is a 4.5ml bottle, whereas the original is 85ml and costs a whopping £75!
From the start, the first thing I noticed about this fragrance is that is is luxurious – from the cardboard packaging to the actual scent, it just screams opulence. Even the sample bottle is absolutely stunning; considering that perfume samples usually come in a plain white plastic tube, this was a real treat!
So, on to the perfume itself. It is described as “effortlessly sensual and feminine” (tick!) and is made up of “an eclectic combination of green absinthe, rose and cashmeran”. I have to say, I was surprised about the absinthe being used, but nonetheless it is a divine scent. It reminds me of the very wealthy women you walk past in Selfridges wondering how much money they are wearing in their designer clothes and shoes.
This is the kind of fragrance I would wear for a fancy cocktail night, or special trip out – considering the price, you’d have to preserve every drop! It is a very feminine scent, and very grown-up – there’s definitely nothing bubblegum-like about it, whereas some perfumes do have that underlying sweetness.
The reason I mentioned this as a gift is because I don’t know who wouldn’t like it – it’s not too extreme in either direction (i.e. too sweet or too ‘spicy’) and is a great winter perfume too, in my opinion. It’s the kind of gift that I can imagine clubbing together with my sister to buy for our mum.
Have you had a sniff of the Burberry Body Perfume? Do you like it?
