My obsession with blue nail polish continues…although in my defence, it has been a little while since I’ve done a nail varnish blog post! I’ve been wearing the lovely Barielle Nail Polish in Berry Blue on my nails for the past few days, and wanted to share my review with you all.
It is a very deep blue (almost black in some lights), which is the kind of blue I love to wear on my nails. I’m not so keen on pastel colours, and this steers well away from that!
I have had really good experiences with Barielle nail polishes in general, so had my usual high hopes for this one. I also love their names – they’re very cute – and Berry Blue sounded very winter-y to me!
I applied my usual base coat, then just one coat of the Barielle polish. I was delighted to find that it was as pigmented and full-coverage as the others I have tried from the range – but despite this, it isn’t too thick to not dry properly (a pet hate of mine).
Here is how my nails looked after just one coat:
I am so, so impressed. Considering I got this polish in a set of 5 for £9.99 (making it just less than £2 per bottle) the quality is outstanding.
I knew that I wanted to add a bit of sparkle to my nails (look out for my upcoming NOTD post!) so I did add an extra special coat of something else to the top, but three days on and my nails are chip-free (aside from one small one). Barielle – you’ve done it again!
These polishes were from TK Maxx, and they often seem to have them in stock. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone!
