As a YouTuber and blogger, I spend a lot of time showing you guys how to achieve loads and loads of different looks, but for my latest video I thought it would be fun to step back and show you my own personal make up routine. I’ve called it my full make up routine as it’s what I would wear for a night out or occasion when I wanted to look totally made-up (my everyday make up routine wouldn’t be interesting to see, unless you’re fascinated by people putting on some moisturiser and one coat of mascara!)
I’ll run through the steps for those people who prefer to read than watch!
Step 1: I cleanse my face with the Simple Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser and moisturiser with the Simple Vital Vitamin Day Cream.
Step 2: It’s time for an eye primer – I pop some Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion onto my lids, followed by my Bourjois baked eyeshadow in Grey.
Step 3: Taking my Jemma Kidd Stay Put Eyeliner in Pitch, I line my waterlines, along my lower lashline and at the upper lashline too. I then smudge and smoke everything out with the sponge on the other end of the liner pencil. I top everything off with some of my Benefit They’re Real mascara.
Step 4: I then apply my Smashbox Photo Finish Light primer – I use this as well as moisturiser as my skin is dry, and my make up would look hideous without a properly prepared base!
Step 5: Foundation time! I squeeze some of my trusty Illamasqua Skin Base in Shade 3 onto the back of my hand and stipple it all over my face and neck. For this, I use the Mac 130 small stippling brush!
Step 6: I then bring out my eyebrows with the MUA Eyebrow pencil in Blonde.
Step 7: You can’t go wrong with a bit of concealing – I use my bareMinerals Correcting Concealer in Light 2 under my eyes.
Step 8: For a highlighter, I use the bareMinerals Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener on my cheekbones and at my cupid’s bow.
Step 9: I love a bit of contouring, so use my Sleek Face Contour Kit to bring out my cheekbones.
Step 10: Finish off the face with some pressed powder – I use the Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
Step 11: I round off the whole look with a slick of the Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in Peach Blossom.
I hope that you enjoy the video! Do you use any of the same products as me in your routine? What do you think of them?
