It’s no secret that I love to play around with make up – I often have a list in my head of which looks I’d like to try and create or recreate next. On Friday, my sister and I were chatting and she mentioned that she’d love me to try and create a Lady Gaga inspired ‘Eyelid Eyes’ look, like this one:
Let me talk through how I achieved a similar look on Steph!
Firstly, I took the NYX White Eyeshadow Base…
…and covered her entire eyelid, all the way up to the eyebrows! I also added some white eyeshadow to the area to set the base.
I then took a good black gel eyeliner – I used the Maybelline one, but they’re all about as good as each other in my experience!
I used the gel liner to create the outline of the eye itself, working over the brows:
I then added some lashes to the top of the drawn-on eye – later on, I decided to add a few smaller lashes to the bottom so feel free to do those at this stage instead!
Next, I took my 120 Pro Palette and selected a gorgeous metallic blue – Steph wanted blue eyes as opposed to Gaga’s black ones. I also added some black shadow as an iris, and some more of the black gel liner as the pupil.
Then I grabbed some false lashes for the bottom – technically, I placed them as usual onto the top lashes but in this look they acted as bottom lashes (this is where it starts to mess with your mind a little!)
To finish everything off, I applied some foundation to Steph’s face and neck, along with striking red lipstick and a Gaga-esque cheek beauty spot. We decided to do a mini photo session to showcase the look! Here are a couple of the photos – feel free to click on them to make them bigger…
We both hope you enjoyed seeing how the look came together! This was just for a bit of fun, but could make a great Halloween look for 2012 🙂
