As you can probably imagine, as a beauty YouTuber and blogger I have a lot of make up knocking about – I wish I could say that I used even half of it, but even professional make up artists who own 10x as much as me will still have their favourite products in their own personal make up bag. After watching the lovely Nic from Pixiwoo share what is in her everyday make up bag over on their channel, I decided to follow suit and post my own video!
It was actually quite interesting to film this video, as I realised that I don’t even use some of the products that I’ve narrowed down enough to put in my little make up bag!
I definitely know which I use more than others – on an average day, I’ll use my Jemma Kidd eyeliner with lashings of my Benefit They’re Real Mascara. For my lips, I may use my TopShop Antique Gloss, or my Natural Collection one in Raspberry Ripple, but most of the time I’ll just use either my Simple Lip Balm or my Chapstick.
It has inspired me to have a bit of a clear out, especially of products that I haven’t used for a good while. Make up certainly doesn’t last forever, and it’s hygienic to have a freshen up of your make up bag once in a while – probably every six months. I’m not saying that you have to throw everything out after six months (that would be unthinkable!) but if there’s a product that you haven’t used in a long time that’s looking a bit past it’s best, it might be time to replace it.
This is a short and sweet post today, feel free to check out the video and let me know below which products are your absolute essentials!
