Dry shampoo is such a staple product of mine – I rarely shy away when it comes to trying out a new one! Before I went on holiday I was wandering around Boots and spotted this little travel-sized Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical – what better for a holiday!?
This 50ml bottle cost around £1.50, which is super reasonable and the perfect size for popping in your luggage. Now, I’ve had mixed experiences with Batiste: their original dry shampoo is amazing and I love it, but their XXL Volume one was horrible. I was a little wary of purchasing this as that bad experience stuck in my mind but I decided to go for it anyway.
I’ll happily admit that the thing that won me over was the promised scent – I love coconut, pineapple and all other tropical scents and would love my hair to smell of them too!
When I first used the shampoo, standing in the bathroom of my hotel room in Menorca, I fell in love with the scent straight away. It is divine, and smells exactly like a piña colada! I also love that the scent stays in your hair and doesn’t fade to a dull musky smell, which I was afraid of.
This version of the dry shampoo works in an identical way to the original one, apart from that I noticed it is slightly less white when sprayed onto the hair. I adore how well it works, and was so relieved that it didn’t turn out to be sticky and irritating!
I’m trying to think of any downsides to the product, in the spirit of fairness, but I genuinely can’t think of anything! A fabulous dry shampoo which I will repurchase in the future.
