I’ve been a little bit naughty this week…
So I always kind of knew that this week would be tricky food-wise…I’ve been down in both London and Oxfordshire for most of the week, mostly eating food prepared for me rather than making the choices myself.
On Thursday, I travelled down to London to take part in an awesome shoot with Babyliss – the shoot was actually on the Friday, but on Thursday I met up with one of my best friends in the world, Georgie, and we went out for dinner! I had a veggie burger and chips, but only ate a couple of them. Friday’s catering at the shoot was heavenly and I indulged slightly – there was a bowl of sweets on the table at one point, and I only ate a chew bar out of the whole thing! THAT is self-restraint!
We then travelled to visit Tiz’s sister and brother-in-law at the weekend. His sister is a fantastic cook and I knew we were in for some gorgeous food! On Saturday we had Indian takeaway food, which was delicious. Sunday was truly spectacular – she lovingly recreated my favourite Pizza Express pizza entirely from scratch!! It was incredible, and was followed by a home-made chocolate brownie and ice cream. At that moment, I really couldn’t have cared less about the calories!
The other days and meals have generally been healthy, but I knew I had been no angel this week food-wise.
My exercise routine was disturbed by my travelling this week, so I’ve only managed to work out twice. The first time was a classic cardio and weights workout, and yesterday’s was one pure hour of cardio. I felt SO much better for it!
I am going on holiday on Friday this week, so I am officially taking a week off from my diet. The hotel we’re staying at has a huge pool though, and we’re going to be exploring the island too, so I hope to get some good exercise in whilst we’re away! I’m also going to be sensible with food whilst still enjoying myself. I know I don’t need three scoops of ice cream to enjoy it, so I’ll have one or two small ones instead. It’s just common sense!
Here’s the moment I was dreading this morning…
Weekly weight loss: 0 lbs ** Total weight loss: 10 lbs
So unfortunately, I didn’t actually lose any weight this week – but at least I didn’t put any on! It’s actually been a good lesson in how to maintain a certain weight, with a mixture and balance of healthy and more indulgent choices with exercise.
Wish my luck health-wise on my holiday – I think I might need a little!
