There are so many make up tutorials on YouTube that sometimes you feel everything has already been done. I really felt like that today when preparing the look I was going to film, and decided to offer up some tips and product recommendations in my video, rather than just the pure tutorial.
The look I focussed on was a dark berry lip look; I love the vampire-inspired make up styles and wanted to make it more wearable and practical!
I started with the MAC Lipliner in Nightmoth to give a solid deep berry base. The pencil looks almost purple on the lips and really sets the tone for achieving a gorgeous, vampy look.
I then used the GOSH Lip Marker in Berry to give the lighter berry sheen – it also dries fast and to a matte finish, which makes the product feel secure on the lips. It doesn’t exactly stain the lips, but makes it seem like the colour has sunk into the lips.
Finally, I added a tiny dot of the Bourjois Lip Gloss in Romantic to the centre of the lips to give them a slight sheen and make them appear fuller. Gorgeous!
I really do adore this look and hope I’ll be brave enough to wear it out one day, especially now I know how secure it feels on the lips!
Would you ever wear this look out? I’d love to know!
