Weight Loss Wednesdays: Week #4

The four week mark in a diet seems quite important to me – it’s getting towards the month point, and it’s somewhat of a milestone. This week seems to have gone quite slowly – it really seems like longer since I last weighed myself! I have to admit that I get quite excited to see if I’ve lost weight each week. Let’s go through my diet and exercise log this week!

Diet

I rediscovered an old favourite of mine food-wise this week – Crackerbread! It’s a healthier alternative to bread with far fewer calories and carbs.

Weight Loss Wednesdays: Week #4

Now I know this will get mixed reactions, but my topping of choice has been…banana! I mush up a banana in a bowl then spread it onto the crackers. I think it’s delicious but I know others don’t agree so much!

I’ve kept up with my usual high-fibre cereal for breakfast, although I have had fruit for a change a couple of days this week. My main meals have been a bit sporadic, as I’ve been out and about a bit – I had fish and chips one day (but only ended up eating about 5 chips!) and a meal at a Chinese restaurant another night (although my meal was relatively healthy, just vegetables and a little rice).

Snacks have been my main issue this week. I am a snacker by nature, and begun to get a bit bored of my favourite Snack-A-Jacks Curls. I stopped snacking for a couple of days, then realised I was really missing it! I was looking through the cupboards and found a packet of Monster Munch – as crisps go, they’re not too bad for you! Baked not fried, just over 100 calories…I’ve ended up having a small packet a day, and it hasn’t done me any harm.

Exercise

I’ve only managed to get to the gym twice this week, which is a bit of a shame. I went swimming once and did cardio and weights on another occasion.

I’m still really enjoying exercise and am starting to find everything a little easier. I’m considering increasing my exercise intensity on each individual session, but I might just mix things up a bit more for now. I still haven’t managed to get to any classes at the gym, which is a real goal for the future!

So, for the fourth time – it’s time for my weight-loss totals…

Weekly weight loss: 2 lbs ** Total weight loss: 10 lbs

Another 2 lbs lost! It’s quite nice to be losing weight as such a constant rate as I know I’m doing it in the healthiest way possible.

    Well done! 10lb is amazing! I bet you can really start to notice a difference in yourself. Keep going you’re doing it so well!

    Hii. Well done on the weight loss. I went on a diet and I did loads of exercise and I gained weight! I then found out when I went to my doctor asking that it was because my muscles were building up. So then I got afraid of looking odd and muscly!!

    congratz chika! 😀 you’re doing so great! since exams are over, I’ve time to follow in your footsteps and thus start with a healthier diet. I’ve had it difficult in the past and now still since I’ve got stomach issues, but I’m still gonna try. I know I will feel better if I succeed, so I hope I can manege just as wellas you are doing! wish me luck and keep on going this way yourself! xoxo Anneleen

      hi! aneleen first of all i would say that if you want to loose weight so try doing yoga its good for health and even help you in loosing your weight you will be refreshed after doing yoga and good luck dear!!!!

        thanks for the advice! I’m going to try yoga then! but where can I learn the right exercises? Can I find it on youtube or should I look for a dvd or something? xoxo Anneleen

    Did you find when you first started using the gym you gained weight since muscle weighs heavier than fat
