No matter whether it’s from high school, college or University, your graduation is a day you’ll remember forever. I do apologise for going on about it a little lately, but quite a few people have asked me for a few beauty tips after seeing my graduation photos!
I talked about my fashion choice for graduation in my latest YouTube video, as well as a couple of others! I wanted something simple, elegant and quite timeless for under my gown – and thought I would do something similar make up-wise!
This photo is one of my more ‘close-up’ photos from the day, so I thought it would illustrate my beauty choices best! Here’s a break down:
I started with my Simple moistures, then used the Benefit POREfessional to ensure that my skin was silky smooth. I then applied my Illamasqua Skin Base and contoured with the Sleek Contour and Highlight Kit. I popped a little of the Benefit High Beam on my cheekbones, and then quite a bit more powder than I’m used to. I love the Collection 2000 Loose Powder, and didn’t want to risk any shine on my photos!
I decided to go for the old favourites for my eyes – I started with my Stargazer White Eyeliner, then applied my Urban Decay Primer Potion. I fell back on my timeless favourite, Darkhorse from the Urban Decay Naked Palette, and applied it along my upper and lower lash lines. I curled my eyelashes, and then applied a generous amount of my Benefit They’re Real Mascara.
I kept everything super natural (wahey!) for my lips, just applying a little lip balm throughout the day.
I guess my biggest tips for graduation beauty is to keep it simple and make sure you’re comfortable with the look you go for. After all, you’ll be looking at the photos for a long while!
