Ok, so I know in the past I’ve gone on about how content I am with the Naked (1) Palette from Urban Decay, and how I didn’t feel the need to purchase the Naked 2 Palette. It is still very much the case that I love the original palette, but when Debenhams kindly offered to send me the Naked 2 Palette, I suddenly became very excited about it!
So the palette contains 12 eyeshadows, as did the original. They are as follows: Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted and Blackout. Here are some closer photos!
Now I’ll never quite understand why Urban Decay included Half Baked in both palettes, but let’s leave that to one side! When I first opened the palette, certain shades caught my eye – I couldn’t wait to try out Pistol, Foxy, Bootycall and Busted.
The first shade I used was Pistol, and I was quite disappointed with the colour payoff. I always try to look on the positive side in this situation though; it means you can build up the coverage of the shadow and make it as subtle or bold as you like. Foxy and Bootycall are simply divine – I know that I’ll be using them in the inner corners of my eye frequently within looks. Busted is one of my favourites, and is actually beginning to rival my love for Darkhorse!
The brush that is included in the palette is also fantastic – it works extremely well for the looks I like to create, and as I have a habit of forgetting make up brushes when I travel, it’s also very handy!
So, here is the big question: would I recommend purchasing the Naked 2 Palette if you already own the original? I never thought I’d say it, but yes – there may be some similarities with the shades, but there are also subtle differences that I’m really enjoying exploring!
