You may have noticed me talking a lot about my gym experiences across my blog, YouTube channel and Twitter account just lately. I really have got back into the routine of exercising and I’m absolutely loving it!
Exercise is a key part of beauty in my mind; not only does it help your skin to glow, it makes you feel better, more confident and can improve posture. To me, it’s part of the whole beauty ‘package’. I’ve been searching high and low for the right women’s running gear. I was thrilled to receive a package from Up and Running, who kindly sent me a gym top to try out and review: the Ronhill Aspiration Contour Tank Top, which retails for £28.
Now I have an odd theory about gym clothes that really works for me! The more fitting the clothes, the harder I work at the gym. It’s that simple! As soon as I tried on the top I knew that it fit that criteria, but how did it work in practise?
In a word: great! The top fits extremely well and you feel secure but able to move. There is a separate smaller crop top inside to give you extra support around the chest area, which really comes in handy when you’re running!
I found the top to be very true to size, and one thing I really liked about it was that it felt cool. In a hot gym the last thing you want is to feel claustrophobic in your clothes, and I felt that the top was breathable and lightweight.
If I had to choose any small criticism, it would be that the crop top underneath could be a little more supportive – perhaps a little tighter? To be frank though, it all depends on your chest size compared to your clothing size – I think ladies with slightly larger busts than me would find it to be perfect!
